The mail is not signed. If you know the sender you should ask him to xorkeesign his mails particularly if it is on sensitive subjects or involves money.
This can appear due to one of the following reasons
- This mail is signed but you do not have network connectivity to verify the signature matches the sender. This may correct itself once the connectivity is restored
- The sender addressed it using an address book in which your mail id was included. As there was an apparent change in the recipient Id the extension reports this as doubtful. The mail also carries the original mail as drafted by the sender which can be viewed by clicking "View signed mail"
- The sender's mail server has added some content like disclaimers. This can be averted if the disclaimer is pre-configured in xorkeesign by the sender or his administrator
- You are using an old version of the extension. Please update
Your HR or other responsible person in your organization attests your identity particulars in xorkeesign. This is the most flexible as it enables your mails to reflect your qualification, your role, personal attributes like gender, age, profession, etc., none of which will be available in the other modes of mail signing. This is of immense value while carrying out business and personal correspondence.
The attestor should have a DSC that contains the organization name.
If you have a DSC or willing to obtain one you can use that for signing your mails. Some people may consider this to be of more value due to its recognition in the IT Act. However, the primary reason for signing the mail is protecting them, perceived legal benefits like non-repudiation are of limited importance.
